NEW Tapas Bites at Maunday’s Club

Cap Juluca’s Maunday’s Club has become a favorite for sunsets, cocktails and Peruvian tapas bites. What’s on the tapas menu now? Here’s what Chef has in store…

First up, the “Vegetables and Zucchini Sandwich.”

Minced vegetables are layered with tomato sauce, parmesan cheese and sesame seed oil. It is all enclosed by slices of zucchini. These mini sandwiches are served with a sweet mayo sauce and a side salad.

Next, the “Mini-Crab Cakes”…

These crab cakes are the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. Topped with a traditional Peruvian chalaquita chili salsa, a hint of sweetness comes through with each bite. This dish comes plated on a bed of mixed greens and is served with dollops of a yellow chili aioli.

Finally, no tapas menu is complete without chicken wings!

Maunday’s Club is open daily. Bar 9am-11pm, Lunch 11am-5pm and Dinner 6:30-9:30pm.

Belmond Cap Juluca will be closing for the season on the 31st of August.

New Favorite at Elvis Beach Bar!

Everyone’s favorite bar on the shores of Sandy Ground is staying open ALL SEASON! Home to our favorite nachos on the island…

We recently decided to explore the menu a little more. The Fresh Taco Shell Salad jumped out at us. A crispy tortilla bowl, it is filled with your choice of meat and topped with cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, mixed greens and rice and beans.

We kept it simple and opted for no meat or rice – after all, we were also ordering an entire plate of nachos as well!

The verdict?…

100% delicious! The beans were noteworthy – full of flavor. Piled into a crispy tortilla bowl and topped with guacamole, it all makes for an incredible combination!

The cherry on top? Sitting right on the sands of Sandy Ground with Earthlite singing the night away.

Tuesday night is Taco Night at Bar Soleil
Enjoy $5 Margaritas all night long (6-10pm)
AND enjoy your first Margarita on the house with every taco order!

Our favorite cocktails at Taco Night? First up, The Azul – a mix of tequila, blueberries and lime. Next, The Sandria is especially creative. Tequila, watermelon, lime, jalapeno, salt and chilli rum make for a subtly salty and spicy drink.

Tequila pairs perfectly with Malliouhana’s outstanding tacos…

The Crispy Fish tacos are a “must have.” Fried fish is topped with guacamole, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo and the purple cabbage gives each taco bite an added crunch.

Next, the Pulled Pork…

Stewed pork is accented with achiote, pickled onions and generous dabs of queso fresco!

The selection doesn’t end there…

Things really get spicy with the Jerk Chicken tacos! Perfectly seasoned, the mango salsa, Caribbean slaw and avocado offsets the heat beautifully.
