Anguilla is the perfect spot for true unwinding and rejuvenation. The natural tranquility and peacefulness of Anguilla is complemented by the recent addition of a state of the art, luxury spa, part of the Malliouhana Hotel.

The facility opened in November 2002 after much vision and dedication by veteran hotelier Mr. Leon Roydon and his team. This five million dollar,15,000 square foot stand-alone facility boasts a wide array of features including: fully equipped fitness facility, men and women's sauna or steam room, outdoor whirlpool, spa boutique and treatment rooms. During my tour I was particularly struck by three exquisite day private suites designed to provide full spa services in the privacy of the suite: Serenity and Vitality are perfect for individuals or couples and the larger suite, Spirit of Tranquility is great for couples or small groups. Each suite has a private balcony, a whirlpool, lounge and seating area, specialty shower and private bathroom. Below is a photo of therapist Kirthley in one of the private suites.

The spa's services include: therapeutic massages, specialty massages, exfoliations, body wraps, facial treatments, ultra baths, hair services, manicures, pedicures, waxing and fitness center services. A closer look at one of the interesting specialty massages�. Stone Therapy reveals�a treatment using warm basalt stones in rhythmic gliding strokes to induce relaxation. Cooling stones are applied at the end of the treatment to refresh and tone. A 60 minute Stone Therapy treatment costs $135 and a 90 minute treatment, $195 plus 10% service charge.
