Buddy.
Jackie Cestero reports:
In the first week of August. AARF received a call from tourists in Little Harbour that there was a dog stranded on the rocks in front of their villa that had been beaten. Amy Williams went to their villa where they had brought the dog inside. He was bruised, swollen and unable to walk. Buddy has had great care thanks to Amy and is in much better shape now. He still limps but has a wonderful personality despite his horrible treatment. He is a large male who is about 1 to 2 years of age. He would make a wonderful pet in a home with lots of love.
If you or anyone you know who would be willing to give Buddy a second chance at a good life, please call Amy at 497-4600 Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm. Visit our web site at www.aarf.ai to see pictures of Buddy and our other adorable pets awaiting adoption.
Small Sailboat Racing in Island Harbour.
The Anguillian sea faring spirit lives on! Young boys at Island Harbour sharpen their sailing skills as they organise frequent fun boat races during their summer holidays. One of their popular routes takes them from the Scilly Cay area to Shoal Bay and back.
Note: these are small, one-person sailboats. There are also popular model sailboat races in Island Harbour.

Altamer Restaurant.
Rebecca Eggleton (reggleton@altamer.com) reports that the restaurant
at Altamer Resort is staying open all through the season. So if you are looking
for a gourmet dining experience, give them a try (remember they have Chef Leduc).
We went to Altamer for dinner last week - the restaurant is very elegant; ask the Chef for
a tour of his kitchen. It is a chef's dream.
