Anguilla’s MSU Grads- Congratulations!

Anguilla’s own Arlette T Richardson and Danicia L. Hughes received their Baccalaureate Degrees at Midwestern State University’s December 2011 Commencement exercises last Saturday.

Richardson earned magna cum laude honors for her Bachelor of Science in Social Work, and Hughes earned cum laude honors for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. Both are eligible for state certification in their respective fields.
Richardson and Hughes are two of the seven students from Anguilla that have received degrees from Midwestern since 2001.

Congratulations to Arlette and Danicia, that is such a huge accomplishment!

Speech Night of 2011

Starting at 7pm on Thursday, December 8th at the Rodney Macarthur Rey Auditorium, the Albert Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School concert band will play, along with the school’s choir, there will also be solo performances, group presentations and dances, and the principal’s report.

Entrance is $10EC, sounds like a fun way to wrap up the school term!

Felix Graduates from Starkey International Institute

After an eight week and 360 hour program, Felix Pina has graduated from Starkey International Institute with a Household Management certification.

Felix said, “I am excited to use the knowledge I’ve gained to bring a new vision and precise service standards to my post with Ani Villas.”  Felix is now back in Anguilla and ready to put his new knowledge to work!

Joining with Ani Villas, Properties in Paradise, which offers high-end service training and gave Mr. Pina the opportunity to complete the program.

Ani Villa sent their new property manager, Felix Pina up to Denver through the Starkey Institute and Properties in Paradise for extra training.

It’s been a few weeks since Felix has been up there.  Here’s what he has to say about his time up there…

“So far it has been an unbelievable experience. The course is intense and requires a lot of focus but it really has taught me a lot already. Once I get back I really will do things differently,  I really have acquired a new mentality.”

Sounds like this could bring a whole new level of service to Anguilla!
